LETTER FROM PASTOR NIETING

Letter from Pastor Nieting

We LOVE summers here at Hope, and despite all our construction, this summer will not be an exception. Our WORSHIP schedule, 8 and 11 AM, continues for each Sunday. Although our SUNDAY SCHOOL classes are combined, there is always something for our kids, our confirmands (grades 6-8), high schoolers, young adults and all the rest of us.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is coming soon, offering our children a place to learn and great opportunities to volunteer for everyone junior high age and older.

WEDNESDAY morning Bible Classes (10-11 AM) will continue, as we study the book of Esther………and I hear plans are in the works for a Women’s study Wednesday evenings.

WEDNESDAY evenings will also be “ultimate frisbee” on the Friend’s Church Field.

The National Lutheran Youth Gathering (in New Orleans) will take our entire senior high group “south” for a week!

Finally, ENVISION HOPE continues, with opportunities for everyone to volunteer from Tuesdays through Saturdays, no matter what your level of skill or strength. From painting to pushing mops, we’re all working to finish the job.

It may be “vacation” for our school children, but Christians never stop being the disciples of Jesus Christ.

Have a blessed summer, Pastor Mark Nieting
