CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
We offer several children's programs throughout the year:
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Because the younder children of our congregation are such a valuable part of our
Hope family, we have made Sunday mornings a unique and special time to gather together to build on our one sure
foundation - Jesus Christ.
Jesus's love for children is HUGE! We desire to allow all children the opportunity
to experience His love and acceptance. At Hope, young children can discover an awesome God who wants to bless them.
Hope is a great place to develop a personal relationshio with our Savior and grow in service for Him in our world.
While it is important that children enjoy being with their old friends and look forward to making new ones, they
will continue to learn that Jesus is the best friend they could ever have.
Every Sunday morning at 9:30am, children (aged two years through fifth grade) and
their parents are invited to come to the sanctuary for Opening Praise. We will sing some of our favorite songs and
prepare our hearts to learn more about the Bible in the classroom.
Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments are taught each week during class time.
Some of the classes will enjoy making crafts and all ages will have fun with a variety of special activities
throughout the year. Our dedicated teaching staff has made Sunday School a place where the children want to come!

SPECIAL DAYS
- RALLY DAY... always the Sunday after Labor Day. This is our invitation for everyone to come back after the
summer break and be faithful in Sunday School attendance September through May.
- BIBLE SUNDAY... we recognize our second graders and present a beautiful Bible to each of them during a
worship service in October.
- FALL FOOD DRIVE... children are invited to share with those in our community who are less fortunate. We
collect canned foods each Sunday in October, November, and December to fill the Thanksgiving and Christmas
baskets that will be given to needy families for the holidays.
- ALL SAINTS' PARTY... all the little saints are invited to come to church on a Friday evening in October,
dressed in a fun costume! All of our families are invited to join us in this annual celebration! First, a
scrumptious dinner is served. After entertainment, we let the "saints" go marching outside to "Trunk or Treat"!
To close our family evening together, we gather at the bonfire to sing songs and remember our own dear loved ones
who have already gone to be with the Lord.
- CHRISTMAS PROGRAM... the children always enjoy sharing the wonderful news of our Savior's birth through drama
and songs with the congregation in December.
- JOY DAY... a beautiful spring activity where the children learn more about the Easter story. They spend a
Saturday morning here at church making crafts, going on an egg hunt, and visiting the "Holy Land."

OTHER ACTIVITIES
- KIDS' BIBLE CLUB... After dinner each Wednesday evening, we welcome the children, ages three years through
fifth grade, to attend our mid-week Bible Club. Here, the children can dig into God's Word and enjoy a faith-
growing experience. Bible stories, special music, and crafts make our evenings rewarding. We encourage your
child to invite a friend.
- VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL... During the summer, all children ages four years through fifth grade are invited to
come to a fun-filled week of Bible stories, games, snacks, music, and crafts. The children are encouraged to bring
their friends and join in all these great activities!
- CHILDREN'S WORSHIP... Every Sunday morning, September through May, we have a very special children's worship
opportunity that takes place during the sermon in the 11am service. All families will come to the sanctuary to
begin worship together, but after the "Children's Message," Children, ages 3 thru 1st grade, are invited to a
specialized teaching, while the rest of the family can continue to worship together. This children's worship time
is lead by Pastor Nieting or Pastor Cofer with the help of an assistant on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of each month
and by loving adult volunteers on the other Sundays.
